Is this the face of a BITER? Yes. It is.
A couple of weeks ago, I went to pick up Lily at daycare and was presented with the dreaded Incident Report form. This is the form daycare uses to report things like falls, injuries and biting. I have had to sign the form before, when Lily was bitten by a classmate. She has always been the bite-ee, not the biter...until now.
A little boy named Calder tried to take a toy away from her and she bit him on the hand. Her teachers said she was very upset about it. She told me on the way home that she "bit Calder and she cried and cried." She still talks about it from time to time and we tell her that you don't bite people. She always replies, "Mama, no biting, ok?"
Last night, Lily said, "I bit Will and Calder." Since I hadn't heard anything about it from daycare, I assumed she was just making up a story.
This morning when we dropped her off, her teacher brought the dreaded form to us and said, "I forgot to give this to you yesterday. Lily bit someone." "Will?," I said. Sure enough...Will tried to take a toy from her and she bit him. This is a phase she needs to outgrow...quickly!
In other teeth-related news, Lily went to the dentist this week for her first exam and cleaning and she did great! No tears. No fighting. She actually enjoyed it!
