Bouncy, Bouncy Part 2 (and other observations)

If there was ever any doubt that Lily likes to bounce, this video should show her true love of the doorway jumper, or the Bouncy Bouncy, as we like to call it. She goes nuts in that thing and it's so fun to watch her having such a great time.

This weekend, we put away some of our "little baby" things. It felt especially strange to put her swing in the attic, as it has been a tried-and-true soother since she was a newborn. She's just getting too big and too active for some of the things that we have come to count on. With the swing, the last few times she's been in it, she reaches over and grabs the leg of the swing and stops it from swinging. Only a matter time before she burns out the motor. So farewell newborn toys...

It has become apparent in the last week that the Bumbo seat is not going to work for her feedings anymore. She is so big and so "GRABBY" that nothing within a foot of her is safe when she's on the counter or the dining room table. We got the high chair out of the attic and I must say, it is much easier to manage her when she's strapped in it. Plus, it's impossible for her to flail and arch her back when we go to clean the food off her face at the end of her meal--that was becoming a major battle. It took a little getting used to but I think she likes it!

Oh, and she also really likes the laundry basket!

When I downloaded the bouncy video to the computer, I got sidetracked looking at some of the other videos we have taken of her since December. She was so little just a few months ago. It makes me sad (yet happy) to look at videos like this one:

  1. I sympathize with you Jenn. They grow up so fast! We put Will's HIGHCHAIR in the attic last month and assembled his new "big boy" booster seat. I can't believe it. He looks so old sitting at the table with everyone else. LOVE the bouncy video.
