Where has the time gone? Another month has quickly passed and now Lily is six months old. Our baby is half way to one! Time feels like it's on fast-forward these days. Everything is happening so fast, especially when it comes to Lily's development.
She had her six-month checkup today. Her stats:
- 16 lbs, 13 oz--70th percentile
- 27 inches long--90th percentile (she's gonna be a tall one!)
Last month, she was starting to grab things with her hands. Now, she's lightening fast when it comes to grabbing everything around her. She has come away with Ethan's glasses in her hand more than once!
The biggest news, which we just discovered today, is that Lily's two bottom teeth are just starting to poke through her gums! She's been a little fussier than usual in the last week and I guess now we know why. She's also been chewing on anything and everything she can get her hands on (as you can see in the picture below, even monkey tails are not safe from her mouth!)
She is also able to sit up by herself for short periods of time. She seems to like doing that a lot. I think she enjoys getting a different view of the world.
Eating solid foods continues to go great. She has really mastered eating from a spoon and likes everything we have given her, except for peas. She makes a face when I try to feed them to her and one time, even spit them out. I can't wait to introduce her to more new foods this month!
