We did it. We have started potty training. I wanted to memorialize the grand occasion by posting it on Lily's blog, without including too many details that might gross you out or embarrass Lily when she hits her teenage years, so here goes...
We have spent the last few weeks talking about the potty...what it is, what we use it for, what we DON'T use it for, etc. On Sunday, Lily and I ventured to Buy Buy Baby and with her help, bought her first potty, which also doubles as a step stool, according to the box.
When she and Ethan came back from the pool, I showed her the new potty and she promptly (ok, with my assistance) sat down on it and...success! (I will spare you the details.)
Monday morning, another success!
Every other day this week? Well, let's just say she's more interested in standing on the potty-as-step-stool so she can reach the sink than she is sitting on it. But it's a start!
